Brand Identity | Adobe InDesign | Adobe Illustrator | 2024
Schiacciamatta is a sandwich shop in Florence, Italy that makes Tuscan-style paninis using local ingredients and schiaccata, a local type of bread. This project was for a branding design class I took while studying abroad in Florence, and the goal was to create a new logo and brand identity for a local business of our choosing. The outputs of this project were to create a new logo, type study, color palette and a variety of stationary items.

Alternative Designs
Each additional design has a direct symbolic meaning tied to the origin and function of Schiacciamatta. The orange fill on the curvature of the S represent the schiaccatta bread native to Tuscany and used in all sandwiches. The dark red (same as final logo) represents drops and bubbles within the deep red chianti wine served. Green and pink represent ingredients in a schiacciamatta sandwich such as arugala and tuscan salami. The yellow represents the big bubbles in the schiaccatta bread.
